Grandview at Bay Beach, the newest high-rise on Fort Myers Beach celebrates groundbreaking

February 4 2020

Representatives of London Bay Development Group joined elected officials and community leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking for Grandview at Bay Beach, the exclusive 11-story high-rise tower on the southern tip of Fort Myers Beach.

Boasting panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico, Estero Bay and Southwest Florida’s picture-perfect sunsets, Grandview is the newest luxury high-rise tower to be built on Fort Myers Beach in over a decade.

A collaboration between London Bay Development Group and partners Suffolk Construction, one of the top contractors in the country, and Curts Gaines Hall Jones Architects, one of the leading architectural design and planning firms in the Southeast, Grandview will offer 58 luxury waterfront residences showcasing vistas from dawn to dusk. From eastern sunrise terraces with glass handrails, to screened sunset waterside terraces oriented to the southeast, south and southwest, each residence captures spectacular Bay and Gulf views.

“We’ve already seen great interest from homebuyers motivated by the desire to live within walking distance of the beach, and enjoy world-class panoramic views and resort-style amenities,” said Mark Wilson, president of London Bay Development Group. “Coupled with a contemporary design that showcases exceptional architecture, quality construction, and top-level finishes and features, Grandview is a winning combination.”

Situated just two miles north of Lovers Key State Park, Grandview is minutes from the beaches and vibrancy of downtown Fort Myers Beach, and in close proximity of the world-class shopping, dining, golf and cultural experiences of Naples.

Based on a preliminary study using the IMPLAN modeling, the project is estimated to have the following economic impact throughout the construction phase,

  • Construction impacts will be in excess of just under $100 million
  • Over 1,000 jobs will be created throughout the span of the project
  • The project will have a positive economic impact by adding over $1.2 million annually in tax revenue, at buildout
  • Total impact fees from the project are over $400,000

Ranging from 2,400 to 2,900 square feet, Grandview’s open-concept floor plans feature 9’1” ceilings, three or four bedrooms, a den, up to three-and-a-half bathrooms, private elevator access and dedicated covered space in the main garage. Six exclusive top-floor penthouses feature 11-foot ceilings and a private two-car garages.

“We are once again excited and honored to continue our partnership with London Bay,” said Josh Christensen, chief operating officer and general manager of Suffolk’s gulf coast operations. “Grandview at Bay Beach presents an incredible opportunity for Suffolk to implement our construction management approach alongside a client who equally embraces our passion for innovation and collaboration.”

Homebuyers can view the selection and array of luxurious top-rated options and interior designer finishes that will be offered in Grandview residences at London Bay’s Selection Studio, which showcases the latest trends in the building industry.

Grandview’s elevated waterfront living comes alive in “The EL,” its upscale, on-property amenities hub accessed by a floating staircase curving from the first-floor lobby. A club room with bar and fireplace takes its cues from the natural surroundings with a design that weaves cerulean blues, turquoise and citrine green with glints of silver and dark undertones. A catering kitchen will be available to those enjoying the EL’s covered outdoor area. A trellis-covered fireplace with a built-in television, bar area, and grills will combine with casual seating to create an outdoor living space. A wide oval turf area will serve as the center for a trio of fire pits with comfortable seating. A pergola will connect the three spaces and create a terminal viewpoint that showcases views to the Bay, surrounded by lush perimeter plantings.

Residents will enjoy additional amenities including a fitness center that features state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment. The adjacent yoga studio, complete with a mirror wall and barre, will feature cushioned flooring. The space also includes men’s and women’s changing rooms.

Residents can also host guests in Grandview’s two luxuriously appointed guest suites that offer privacy and access to the building’s lounge areas and amenities.

Beyond Grandview, residents will have access to Waterside amenities, including a resort-style pool and spa, tennis courts, walking and jogging paths, a private open space, a fishing pier, and walkable beach access.

Grandview residences are available starting from the low $1 Millions.
