London Bay Homes CEO and founder, Mark Wilson, was interviewed by David Dorsey of the News-Press at the groundbreaking ceremony of Grandview at Bay Beach.
The interview covered topics from the timetable of construction to the luxury amenities that will be offered at Grandview upon its completion.
Q: Where are we and what are we building here?
Mark Wilson: We are on the final site for a new high-rise construction project on Fort Myers Beach, on the waterside of Bay Beach. It’s going to be 10 stories over parking. There’s going to be 58 beautiful residences, every one with a fabulous view.
I think we’re bringing a new level of luxury to Fort Myers Beach and also in the amenities, as well. There’s a fabulous clubhouse within the building, there’s two guest suites. If you’re into workouts, a great workout studio and yoga studio there. And what’s quite unusual is we have a beautiful outdoor deck on the second level that’s got a fire pit, outdoor kitchen; a great place to gather with family and friends or have a party, it’s quite unusual.
The good news is we’re starting at just about a million dollars, and we go up from there.
Q: When do you think it will be completed and ready to move in to?
Mark Wilson: It’s about an 18-month project. So, obviously, about 18 months from now, late summer of the following year is when I think people can expect to be moving in and having a beautiful home here at the beach.
